    Saline Main Street WinterFest

    Yankee Air Museum Annual Gala

    Each January, the Willow Run Bomber Plant and Yankee Air Museum (national treasures in aviation history) hold a gala to raise funds for restoring and maintaining this piece of WWII history in the Ann Arbor area.

    Ann Arbor Dance for Mother Earth Powwow

    Held at the beginning of each April, this event attracts American Indian dancers, singers, and drummers from throughout the U.S. who compete in several styles of dance wearing traditional and contemporary regalia.     FestiFools and FoolMoon

    An Ann Arbor twist on Mardi Gras, these events are a fusion of giant hand-made, people-powered puppets, live music, jugglers, costumes, luminaries and more.

    A celebration of the written word with a commitment to promoting reading and improving literacy in Southeastern Michigan. Held in downtown Ann Arbor.

    Ann Arbor Restaurant Week

    Ann Arbor Summer Festival

    This three-week festival beginning in June celebrates the best in theatre, dance, music, and comedy for all ages. Top of the Park offers local and regional bands, food stands, and classic and contemporary movies screened outdoors. Ticketed concerts are held at the Power Center and Hill Auditorium.

    Chelsea Painters Art Fair

    Held in June, rain or shine. The events draws visitors from neighboring states and highlights the award-winning work of member artists. Also includes entertainment and children’s art activities.

    Cinetopia International Film Festival

    Founded in Ann Arbor, this celebration of independent, foreign, and documentary cinema presents more than 50 movies to local audiences in multiple locations in downtown Ann Arbor and Detroit.

    The Color Run Michigan Eastside

    Are you ready for a crazy, colorful 5k? Be prepared as The Color Run takes over Ypsilanti and Riverside Park with the happiest 5k on the planet!

    Mayor’s Green Fair

    Free entertainment, food, and over 120 exhibits with environmental information, a Clean Energy Expo, BikeFest, green commute options, and more. Held in June on Ann Arbor’s Main Street.

    Milan Community Fair

    Carnival rides, entertainment, and fireworks will be presented for family fun in the small city of Milan.

    Picnic at German Park

    German food and libations, and performances by the German Park Dancers, make this a not-to-be-missed event. Held the last Saturday of June, July and August. Dance band begins at 4 p.m., and cash only accepted.

    YA’SSOO Greek Festival of Ann Arbor

    Billetproof “Motor City Mania”

    The Ypsilanti community salutes America in one of the oldest parades in Michigan.

    Sonic Lunch

    A summer-long weekly concert series put on by Bank of Ann Arbor, held in downtown Ann Arbor during the Thursday lunch hour.

    Saline Celtic Festival

    This must-see family event is held each July in historic Saline. Festival-goers enjoy a parade, Highland athletic events, pipe-band performances and competitions, Celtic entertainment on several stages, and even Celtic cows.

    Rolling Sculpture Car Show

    This top-quality show features more than 400 antique, classic, concept, and art cars throughout the streets of downtown Ann Arbor.

    Held in Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park, this show boasts the longest running all-Camaro show in the country.

    Michigan Brewer’s Guild Summer Beer Festival

    Each July, visitors flock to this outdoor festival in Ypsilanti’s beautiful Riverside Park to sample hundreds of beers from breweries throughout Michigan.

    Manchester Chicken Broil

    This is the Midwest’s largest and oldest single-day chicken broil, held in Alumni Field in historic Manchester. Entertainment and carriage rides are provided while crowds dine on broiled chicken and secret-recipe german coleslaw.

    Ann Arbor Art Fair

    This renowned event, held in mid-July, is composed of four award-winning, juried art fairs held simultaneously throughout the streets of Ann Arbor. The event features 1,100 of the finest artists from across the country and an unsurpassed variety of artwork in every price range. Attracting a half-million visitors, it has earned a stellar reputation nationwide.

    Michigan Firehouse Museum Fire Truck Muster

    A diverse collection of fire rigs from the 1920s through the late 1970s displayed in Ypsilanti’s historic and beautiful Riverside Park.

    Milan Bluegrass Festival

    This event features three days of bluegrass music performed by 15 to 20 regional and national entertainers. Held at the KC Campground.

    Milan Summer Fest

    Paint Dexter Plein Air Festival

    The quaint, picturesque city of Dexter offers the outdoor painter numerous charming subjects from which to draw inspiration. Activities are scheduled throughout the week, and finished artwork will be on display and available for sale.

    A traditional German festival held each September featuring a biergarten, family-friendly activities and live music in downtown Saline.

    Webster Fall Festival

    This annual event offers pioneer craft demonstrations, a giant rummage/antique sale, crafts, live music, antique cars and tractors, a children’s zoo, hayrides, and games. Held in the small city of Dexter.

    Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show

    The largest show of its kind in the MIdwest, this exhibition is a salute to automobiles, trucks, and motor scooters that are no longer manufactured. Features a drive-by narration of vehicles.

    Annual Ann Arbor Russian Festival

    Held each fall, the event features Russian folk music, Slavic cuisine, and Russian beer. A puppet show is among the fun events geared toward children.

    This competition offers an opportunity for filmmakers to match their talents against their peers, competing for cash prizes and trophies, and supporting the independent filmmaking community of Southeast Michigan.
