The Wolverine basketball team has an exciting February schedule! Home games are against Purdue and Northwestern on February 13 and February 24 respectively - and they’ll travel to Minnesota, Ohio State and Maryland later this month as well. Led by Head Coach John Beilein, considered by many to be one of the best tactical basketball minds in the country, the Wolverines basketball team hosts home games at the Crisler Center in downtown Ann Arbor. A LEED Gold Certified building, the Crisler Center can hold more than 12,000 fans.
The hockey team from U-M is also enjoying a well-deserved winning season. Since 1984, the Wolverines have been coached by Red Berenson and have qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 22 of the most recent 25 seasons. This month, they have just one remaining home game – on 2/19 - against Ferris State, but you can also catch them on 3/4 in Ann Arbor when they play Ohio State. Yost Ice Arena is home to the U-M hockey team, and also hosts public skates as well, if you’d like to get on the ice like the Wolverines!
The men’s and women’s gymnastics teams at the University have also been busy this winter garnering recognition, awards and top rankings! The women’s team recently tied Louisiana State University for the top spot in national rankings and is also the sole Big Ten team to sweep the Big Ten Weekly Awards twice in January. Check out both the men’s and women’s teams in February and March when they compete at the Cliff Keen Arena in Ann Arbor!
