The Encore Musical Theatre Company in quaint and lovely Dexter will host world-renowned Broadway set designer Tony Walton as director for My Fair Lady, playing August 4-28, 2016. Mr. Walton, the former husband of Julie Andrews (who originated the role of Eliza Doolittle on Broadway), is a multiple Tony Award / Drama Desk Award recipient. Having worked with Encore favorite Jessica Grové several times previously, Mr. Walton will now direct this production with Jessica starring as Eliza.

You won’t want to miss this classic tale of a rough Cockney girl selling flowers in London who meets two well-do-do gentlemen, a phoneticist and a linguist, who set out to teach her to speak properly. Hilarity and heart-warming moments ensue, and the show is filled with well-loved songs such as The Rain in Spain, On the Street Where You Live, Wouldn’t it Be Loverly? and I Could Have Danced All Night. My Fair Lady runs for less than one month, and you’ll want to get your tickets early for this show!
