It’s time to rally behind one of Michigan’s treasured historical attractions! The Yankee Air Museum and home to Rosie the Riveter is gearing up to reclaim the Guinness World Record for Largest Gathering of Rosie the Riveters on Saturday, October 14 at Eastern Michigan University's Convocation Center. Grab your polka dots and a friend, and join us for this historic event!
There is no cost to attend. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and in order to be counted in the World Record gathering, participants are asked to arrive no later than 11 a.m. Participants of all ages are encouraged to attend and must register for the activity ahead of time. Costume requirements consist of dark blue work clothes, red socks, dark shoes with closed toes, and the quintessential red and white polka dot bandanna (not paisley).
Make it a Rosie Weekend and attend the after party, Bombers and Brews at the Yankee Air Museum. This craft beer tasting event set among the museum's exhibits, including a Willow Run Rosie the Riveter exhibit! For after party, guests will need to be 21 years and older to attend.
