The Towsley Family Museum was renovated in 2014 and now offers an interactive experience for Wolverine fans who want to immerse themselves in UM’s football traditions. This new space is 14,000 square feet of maize and blue fandom!
On the way in, be sure to take a photo with the life-size statue honoring legendary coach Bo Schembechler. In his own words, “Those Who Stay Will Be Champions!”
Once inside, check out the Win Wall, where you can view – get this – literally every single football for each of Michigan football victory. That’s a lot of footballs, folks! There’s also an area dedicated to UM Football legends – Ron Kramer, Gerald Ford, Tom Harmon, and more are honored here. Don’t miss the artifacts area of the museum as well, where historical pieces are viewable.
The museum is located at 1200 State Street in Ann Arbor and is open on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. as well as on game days (open from 9 – 11:30 a.m. for noon kickoffs and 12:30 – 3 p.m. for 3:30 p.m. kickoffs). Admission is free.
