2016 was another exciting year for the University of Michigan's football team with Coach Harbaugh at the helm. In January, fans celebrated as the 2015 season concluded with a significant win over Florida in the Citrus bowl. As the year progressed, fans and industry experts alike commented as Harbaugh recruited some of the best players in the country. Once the 2016 season arrived and visitors flooded the area ready to catch a game at the largest stadium in the country. Through the 2016 season, the Wolverines have played 273 consecutive home games in front of crowds in excess of 100,000!
In addition to the amazing football program, the University of Michigan is home to numerous NCAA competitive athletes. In 2016, Coach Carol Hutchins led her team to another winning season — the third 50-win season in four years — and claimed the Big Ten title for the ninth straight year. In 2017, University of Michigan will host the Big Ten Softball Tournament, scheduled for May 11 - June 3.
The University of Michigan was listed as the number one public university as reported by The Wall Street Journal. Must be the result of the amazing libraries, museums, and cultural programs available on campus! Be sure to check out the new Bristle Mammoth Exhibit featuring the amazing artifact discovered last year in neighboring Chelsea, Michigan.
