The Encore Musical Theatre Company operates year-round and showcases professional Broadway performances with top local, regional and national talent. The Summer Music Concert Series is a popular annual event. And for more than 40 years, the Dexter Daze has drawn crowds with artisans, crafters and free entertainment.
History and Architecture
A popular fall destination, the Dexter Cider Mill is the oldest, continually operating cider mill in Michigan. Many area families visit Dexter each fall for apple cider and donuts. The annual Dexter Apple Daze offers hay rides to the mill, a classic car show and much more. For history buffs, there's the annual Civil War Days sponsored by the Dexter Area Historical Society, with period activities including teatime, a fashion review, baseball, a horseshoe contest and children's games.
