Ah, September… the last days of glorious Michigan summer, and a peek into the colorful season of autumn. Here in Ann Arbor, September is all about enjoying time outdoors, welcoming students back to the city, and of course, Michigan Football! Kerrytown BookFest

September 9

The Kerrytown BookFest is held each September and is a celebration of books, those who create them and those who read them. The primary goal is to highlight this area’s rich heritage in the book and printing arts and showcase local individuals, businesses, and organizations. The day will be filled with entertainment, education, and hands-on experiences.

 

Orphan Car Show

September 16

2018 marks twenty-two years of this unique car show. Orphan vehicles are ones that no longer have a manufacturer and are at least 25 years old, and Hudson, Corvair, Packard, Studebaker are just a few that will be displayed at Riverside Park in Ypsilanti. This year the featured vehicles are the ‘orphans of the Chrysler Corporation’---Plymouth, Pacers, Ramblers, Hudson. Over 250 vehicles will be on view for this famous event - check out the New York Times article about the Orphan Car Show!

 

Saline Oktoberfest

September 28-29

Wilkommen! Join us for the Saline community’s 14th annual Oktoberfest in the heart of downtown Saline. Oktoberfest celebrates Saline’s relationship with sister city Lindenberg in Germany. There’ll be plenty to drink and eat, music, dancing, and all types of entertainment.
