June 2018 Event Roundup

May 14, 2018

Ask any local or University of Michigan alum - you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more exciting, beautiful place to spend summer days and nights than the Ann Arbor area. In June, you’ll enjoy celebrations of books, culinary delights, music, African-American heritage, film, environmental stewardship, German heritage, Greek heritage, hot rods and custom cars, antiques, and tons more! Have fun!

Be sure to follow Destination Ann Arbor on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest for tons of travel information and area updates.

Camp Bacon. A camp for those who love the history of food, eating food, and learning about food. You’ll taste bacon, and you’ll learn the stories behind the bacon. You’ll learn new ways to appreciate bacon, and how what we feed the animals impacts the flavor of the meat you taste. The passion of the guest speakers is edible, and you can taste the hard work they put into their bacon and dishes.

Cinetopia Film Festival. Cinetopia features the best feature-length dramas, comedies, and documentaries from the world’s best film festivals (e.g. Sundance, Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Berlin, SXSW, Tribeca, etc). Held at the Michigan Theater, the State Theatre, the University of Michigan Hatcher Library, and other southeastern Michigan locations.

Ypsi Pride. For its second annual festival, Ypsi Pride will be back with music, dancing, and community-building. Held in conjunction with First Fridays Ypsilanti, this is a colorful, inclusive, high-energy event that you won’t want to miss.
