The University of Michigan's Matthaei Botanical Gardens is regarded as one of Ann Arbor's greatest nature destinations. The gardens are located on Ann Arbor's east side; a 300 acre property containing numerous formal gardens, a 10,000+ square foot indoor conservatory, and miles of hiking and discovery trails.
Coming soon: The Michigan Solar House (MiSo*). The MiSo seeks to create an affordable and customizable home which produces a surplus of renewable energy that will effectively redefine comfortable living in a manner feasible generations into the future. Opening fall, 2009.
